I am building a forced perspective box to house a project for science class that will be a diorama of a cave with many different cave features. What I did was make a box that is tapered ten degrees on the sides and the roof or top. The width of the wood was cut on a table saw, and the angles were cut with a mitre saw. The pieces of wood were glued on the edges and nailed with an air powered nail gun. (Dimensions: 12″ tall, 17″ wide, 10.5″ deep/ front opening 17″ x 12″/ back panel 12.75″ x 10.5″)
Parts list:
- plywood
- wood glue
- brad nails
